We’re in Colonia! AND WE’RE LEAVING AGAIN!

And we’re gonna be stuck here for little bit. I just don’t have enough Tritium to get home and no one here is selling. So I’ve parked Colombia next to an ice ringed planet with a Tritium hot spot. I was never filling up Conveyor so I’ve switched Javelin from exploration to mining. I’m able to get a little over 100 tons a run in Javelin but at least I’m filling the hold and it’s usually pretty quick. The problem with Conveyor is probably my hardpoint configuration. I’m only running one SSD so I was running out of missiles before I even came close to being a quarter full. I can synth more, but then I’ll have to restock mats for that and that means pulling myself off mining…which slows the return.

So that’s actually what we’re doing now. This is what we’ve done.

Hole in the Sky is aptly named because the black hole…makes a hole…in the sky…

Shut up it’s pretty.

We’re close to the end of this! There have been some amazing sights so far and there’s still more to see! We set out with a goal of traveling to Colonia, seeing the goods along the way and obtaining an Elite rank in Exploration. At this point I’m in Colonia, I’m absolutely wowing you with the sites, but we’re only 75% of the way to Elite! So we still got some more work. Let’s get to it.

Let’s get right into it!

Roche’s Waltz is what they refer to this system as. There’s a planet inside the exclusion zone of the neutron star so we’ll never be able to go there. This planet…it teases me.

Man I need a better system for cataloging screenshots. I’m struggling. I’m trying to match the date I visited a system based on my flight log with the date the screenshot was taken but it’s just not working out. Doesn’t help that some of these locations are a little bit dull so I didn’t take a lot of shots.

I guess I need to just pause and put the system name in the screenshot as soon as I take it… Ah well… from this point forward maybe. I also think I’ll leave the dull ones out of mission logs. If you want to see the route I’m taking, you can here. Not all of them are winners but there are some amazing things to see out here.

Discovery’s the name of the game. I haven’t ran into any earth-like worlds that haven’t already been discovered, but my name is on a good handful of water worlds. Get Kevin Costner on the phone! It’s time for the sequel!

We are trucking right a long. At the time of this post, I’m currently in Flyiedgiae QN-T d3-17, roughly 35% through my entire journey. It’s a lot. But the Exploration Rank is ticking up, so my goal is being accomplished. Also…I’m seeing some really stellar things… See what I did there? Heck you, that was awesome…

I can see that I’m going to have to plan out these exploration posts better…I don’t want to end up with huge posts… This is generating a lot of content…the smart thing would be to space them out right? Regardless…

Blue Thuna AI A c14 10…

We’re underway to Colonia and I’ve just rounded the corner for the first way point in Blu Thua AI A c14 10, Hillary Depot. There wasn’t anything super special about this one. Just a planetary base but it was nice to go ahead and drop off the scan data I’d collected in those first 1,000 light-years.

We are go for exploration…almost

This weekend was suuuuper productive. I mean…as far as games go. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I managed to get a lot of Low Temp Diamonds from the LTD4 spot. But it wasn’t without some issues. I think I ended up getting more from the LTD3 in the same area. The 4 spot overlap was just so narrow. I probably missed it after those first two runs the week before. The LTD3 overlap is a much bigger area. Either way, I was more successful with laser mining than I was finding sub-surface deposits.
