Also, Frontier has split off the Close Quarter Combat (CQC) part of Elite as a separate game and made it available for like 8 bucks on Steam.

They’re calling it Arena. It looks like it’s basically multiplayer PVP…which is what I think CQC in the full game is. I say it like that because I’ve never actually played CQC. I might give that a go this weekend.

I think it’s a cheap way to kind of get a feel for the how the game handles combat and space flight. If that floats your boat I think it’s worth a look!
