We’re hosted! I signed up for hosting and a domain for the site. So we’re official and all that. I was able to get all the posts and comments imported from the WordPress hosted site. It kept failing on the media imports but with the way I put images in my articles, they should all link out to the old page’s media library.

I did a quick skim to see if everything looked okay and I think I’m fine with it. Images from this point forward will be hosted and linked here. I don’t plan on getting rid of the other site because it’s not hurting anything just sitting there. And, of course, most of my images would go away if I did. I’m not about to go through, re-upload every image and edit every single one of them used in the articles.

I’m excited to have my own space. I’m kind of liking the way the blog looks so I don’t think I’m going to get incredibly fancy with the layout. It’s still a WordPress site and I’m not a WordPress developer. But I may play around with it as time goes on. In the mean time, I hope you have a good holiday weekend (4th of July in the States) if you’re able and stay safe! It’s scary out there for a bunch of different reasons…
