I found my Opinion Polls!

This game was gorgeous before… but now… yeesh.

Update 6 has released between now and the last post. It came with a bunch of stuff but this lighting, man. The suit and weapons grind continues but it’s not my sole focus anymore. Which is good because it probably would have lead to some burn out.

Man I haven’t even posted a playlist since February.

How lazy can you get?!? Right? Guys?

So I guess there have been some updates to Elite since February….

I’m not going to rag on Odyssey in the way others have, except to say Odyssey is one of those words I just cannot spell right the first time. So, for Frontier to give it this name… this name for this massive update to the game I love, is an affront to decency and a bane of my existence.

I haven’t been posting a ton because there’s not really a lot of news to be had. Two things remain in-progress:

  • Acquisition of Prismatic Shielding
  • Columbia mining operations

The shields just take time. I’ve been working to get my ranking where it needs to be with Aisling Duval and now it’s just a matter of maintaining that rank and waiting out the clock. 2 weeks to go.

It’s proving to be pretty expensive but mostly because I’m impatient. I want to get the ranking done in one session as opposed to waiting for the material buy clock to tick over so I’m paying extra to stock more propaganda to deliver at once.

We’re Back. A spaceship story.

It was a long trip but we’ve finally made it back to the bubble. The greatest thing I’ve learned from this whole thing is that if you’re heading out to explore by yourself, don’t bother with taking a Fleet Carrier. The hassle just doesn’t feel worth the benefits. It’s probably going to be a while before I do something like that again. Someday I want to visit Beagle Point but I’m in no rush. It was a really great trip, though.

We’re in Colonia! AND WE’RE LEAVING AGAIN!

And we’re gonna be stuck here for little bit. I just don’t have enough Tritium to get home and no one here is selling. So I’ve parked Colombia next to an ice ringed planet with a Tritium hot spot. I was never filling up Conveyor so I’ve switched Javelin from exploration to mining. I’m able to get a little over 100 tons a run in Javelin but at least I’m filling the hold and it’s usually pretty quick. The problem with Conveyor is probably my hardpoint configuration. I’m only running one SSD so I was running out of missiles before I even came close to being a quarter full. I can synth more, but then I’ll have to restock mats for that and that means pulling myself off mining…which slows the return.

So that’s actually what we’re doing now. This is what we’ve done.

We’re close to the end of this! There have been some amazing sights so far and there’s still more to see! We set out with a goal of traveling to Colonia, seeing the goods along the way and obtaining an Elite rank in Exploration. At this point I’m in Colonia, I’m absolutely wowing you with the sites, but we’re only 75% of the way to Elite! So we still got some more work. Let’s get to it.
